Answer:
Lucas Skarp, a Finnish developer and entrepreneur that has a background in Computer Science and IT. (Featured in SkarpTech YT channel videos)
Question: How often are updates released?
Answer:
Feature rollouts and updates will be provided on a scheduled basis. Fixes if need be are implemented with urgency on a punctual basis, especially through interaction in the Github Issues Repository of which access is permitted through the purchase of a license.
Question: Is there a Linux/*BSD/MacOS version for OCTOM?
Answer:
Currently OCTOM is available for both Windows 7/8/10/11 and Linux distributions based on Ubuntu 24.04, albeit it is only compatible on X11 based display servers, not on Wayland protocol/compositors. Can and will be ported to other Linux distributions upon demand.
Question: Can one buy offline licenses for software such as OCTOM?
Answer:
Upon contact and arrangement this is possible.
Question: Does OCTOM "listen" to what I do?
Answer:
No, the only telemetry that is implemented is license verification (in the standard online verified versions). Even debug information is not collected, and can only be known by user submission of reports in the OCTOM Github support repository. Answer:
